NISER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025: NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH BHUBANESWAR has issued notification on 01/05/2025 for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions.

NISER Bhubaneswar invites applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project RIN4002-SBS-Basic Research in the Schools of Biological Sciences funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential: A minimum GPA of 55% or its equivalent is required for an M.Sc. degree in the appropriate field of life sciences. Candidates must have passed at least one national level exam, such as the CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/DBT-BET, that is currently in effect.
Desirable: The ideal applicant would have practical expertise with pertinent bench work and have a solid background in experimental research. Since fluorescence spectroscopy and confocal microscopy are essential for analyzing and visualizing molecular interactions, proficiency in these methods will be favored. Experience with host-pathogen interactions in the past will also be taken into account.be given preference and two years Research experience
LABORATORY DESCRIPTION
The mechanism of membrane deformation by interaction/assembly of different interacting proteins and pathogenic carriers will be investigated biophysically and biochemically using an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates concepts and experimental tools from cell biology, biophysics, and microbiology.
RESEARCH AREA
Deciphering the role of mycobacterial membrane vesicles in host membrane modulation.
FELLOWSHIP
The project is coterminous with the Government of India in accordance with current Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) regulations. If housing is not available on campus, HRA will be provided, and the contingency grant will be used in accordance with the guidelines. The fellowship is worth ₹37,000/-per month.

  1. Before the final choice is made, the candidates who have been shortlisted based on their research statement, CV, and letters of recommendation may be interviewed in person or via video conference.
  2. The post is open and will be filled as soon as qualified applicants are found.
