Educational Qualification |

M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Tech [R] (with GATE qualified) in Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science Engineering or similar with specialization in Electronics /Optical Communication /Microelectronics /Nanotechnology /Photonics /Optoelectronics / VLSI or similar with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA at both B.Tech./B.E. and M.E./M.Tech. levels. (Or) B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or similar with minimum 65% marks or 7.0/10 CGPA and Valid GATE score (or) M.Sc. (with GATE/NET/GPAT) in Electronics or similar with 65% marks or 7.0/10 CGPA. Desirable: High proficiency in the physics of semiconductor materials and devices. familiarity with optoelectronic equipment, including solar cells, lasers, and photodetectors. Prior knowledge of material modeling/simulation using DFT and device modeling using MATLAB/TCAD is preferred but not required. |

The maximum age to apply for a project role is 28 years old; this can be lowered to 5 years for candidates who are female, PWD, or members of Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes, and 3 years for OBCs (non-creamy layer candidates). The upper age limit will be calculated as of the application deadline. |

1. Investigate the modeling, design, and analysis of 2D materials and the photodetectors based on their heterostructures. 2. Write project summaries. Possibility of enrolling in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Ph.D. program (subject to fulfilling all qualifying requirements set forth by the department or institute.). |
