| Qualification & Experience | Essential: The candidate should have earned 60% of marks in an M.A. in psychology, M.Sc. in psychology, or M.Phil. in clinical psychology. Desirable: i. The candidate should possess administrative experience in setting up and overseeing counseling services, as well as experience in counseling individuals over 30 and students between the ages of 18 and 30, as well as in counseling drug misuse cases. iii. Expertise in providing counseling to students at prestigious residential universities. iv. Therapy experience for both individual and group therapy at a mental health clinic or educational institution is considered relevant experience. |

Duties & responsibilities
- The counselor would be accessible to IIIT Bhubaneswar personnel and professors and provide counseling services to all students as needed.
- If students need emotional or interpersonal counseling, they should get in touch with the counselor.
The counselor will retain confidentiality but will report to the dean of student affairs in the event of any extreme circumstances requiring institution or family intervention. The counselor must feel at ease working with students from a range of social and economic backgrounds. - In the event of an emergency, the counselor must be accessible outside business hours.
