Tenure
For the first six months, the consultants will be hired under a short-term contract. The contract may be subsequently extended up to a maximum of six terms of six months each or until the employee reaches the age of sixty-five, whichever comes first, depending on his or her performance and the needs of this office. Every time the terms are extended, it is preferable to have a satisfactory performance certificate from the regulating officer.
Eligibility for Department Of Telecom Odisha Recruitment
i) For consultants in the JTO Level-Retired JTO or higher, retired from the DoT or any other federal or state government, retired from the CDA Scale with a minimum substantive grade of Level 7 of the 7th CPC or equivalent IDA Scale, or holding a position similar to that of a government, PSU, or research organization.
ii) For consultant in JE level – retired from CDA Scale with a minimum substantive grade of Level 6 of the 7th CPC or equivalent IDA Scale, or retired from JE or a rank equivalent to or higher from the DoT or any other central or state government, or holding a position similar to that of a government, PSU, or research organization.
iii) For consultant in TA level – retired TA or higher from the Department of Technology (DoT) or any other central or state government; retired from the CDA Scale with a minimum substantive grade of Level 5 of the 7th CPC; or employed in a comparable position with the government, a PSU, or a research organization.
iv) For the position of consultant at the steno level– a candidate must be retired from the DoT or any other central or state government, be a steno or above, be retired from the CDA Scale, have at least a substantive grade of Level 4 or Level 5 or Level 6 of the 7th CPC or an equivalent IDA Scale, or hold a position in a government, PSU, or research organization that is comparable.
v) For an LDC-level consultant– a candidate must be retired from the DoT or another central or state government at the rank of LDC or above, have retired from the CDA Scale with a minimum substantive grade of Level 2 of the 7th CPC or an equivalent IDA Scale, or be employed in a comparable position with the government, a PSU, or a research organization.
Age Limit
By the application deadline of September 15, 2025, the candidate must not be older than 64 years old.
