A medical qualification listed in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956’s I, II, or third schedule (those with qualifications listed in the third schedule’s part should additionally meet the requirements outlined in section 13(3) of the Act). 2. A postgraduate degree in the relevant field or subject, such as an MD or MS, or an acknowledged degree equal to it. Experience: After earning an M.D. or M.S. or a recognized equivalent, three years of teaching and/or research experience in the field of specialization at an accredited institution. Essential for Super Specialty Disciplines: 1. Medical qualifications listed in the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956’s I, II, or third schedules (those with qualifications listed in the third schedule’s part II must also meet the requirements outlined in section 13(3) of the Act). 2. A postgraduate degree in the relevant field or subject, such as an MD or MS, or an acknowledged degree equal to it. 3. M.Ch. in the corresponding discipline/subject for surgical super specialties (2 years, 3 years, or 5 years recognized course) or a recognized equivalent thereto, or D.M. in the corresponding discipline/subject for medical super specialties. Experience: One year of teaching and/or research experience in the field of specialization at an accredited institution following the completion of a qualifying degree such as a D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years of approved coursework following MBBS) or an equivalent certification. Nonetheless, candidates with a three-year recognized D.M./M.Ch. degree or a recognized equivalent are exempt from the requirement for experience. |
General Guidelines:
- The positions listed above are tentative and could change. The Executive Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, maintains the power to alter the number of vacancies, including reserved jobs, in accordance with the laws, rules, and specifications of the Government of India.
- The deadline for determining the upper age limit, necessary qualifications, and experience will be on May 10, 2025, which is also the date of the interview.
- For SC/ST candidates, a one-year teaching/research experience relaxation will be granted in accordance with DoP&T rules and guidelines.
- The engagement will last for one (1) year or until the position is regularly filled, whichever comes first. The Competent Authority may determine that additional service extensions are permissible under the regulations.
- The candidate may end the contractual engagement time within one month of the notice period or, in the event of an early resignation, receive payment in lieu of the notice period.
Selection Method:
The required qualification is minimal, and merely having it does not grant any candidate selection rights. In addition to any other issue pertaining to the selection process, the Selection Committee will determine the methodology of selection as it sees suitable.
