5th Amendment to Advertisement No. 19 for the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineer positions (Civil & Mechanical) within the Department of Water.
The initial advertisement for recruiting a total of 580 and 41 positions for Assistant Executive Engineers in Civil and Mechanical respectively within the Watersheds Department was released under Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24 on 28.12.2023. Four corrigenda related to this advertisement were issued, and the application deadline was extended to 26.02.2024 as per the fourth corrigendum published via Notice No. 961/PSC, dated 17.02.2024.
The interim order issued on 07.03.2024 by the Hon’ble High Court in W.P.(C) No. 596 of 2024 and similar cases instructed the concerned parties to proceed with the selection process according to Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24 dated 28.12.2023. However, the final results of this recruitment test shall not be declared without permission from the court. Consequently, the Commission conducted interviews for candidates on 09.07.2024 and 10.07.2024 for the Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) positions, as detailed in Notice No. 3321/PSC, dated 28.06.2024, and held interviews from 16.07.2024 to 30.07.2024 for the Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) roles under Notice No. 3603/PSC, dated 09.07.2024, without publishing the results.
Now, following the Orders dated 15.01.2025 from the Hon’ble High Court of Odisha, Cuttack in W.P.(C) No. 596 of 2024, W.P.(C) No. 10185 of 2024, W.P.(C) No. 42059 of 2023, W.P.(C) No. 8166 of 2024, and W.A. No. 948 of 2024, the time frame for submitting online applications for the Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) positions, as specified in Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24 along with all previous corrigenda, has been rescheduled. The application portal will be open from 22.04.2025 to 08.05.2025 (until 11.59 P.M.), with 08.05.2025 being the final date to submit registered online applications.
The candidates who meet the criteria regarding (i) Educational Qualification outlined in Para-4 of Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24, along with the 3rd Corrigendum detailed in Notice No. 376/PSC, dated 19.01.2024, as of the application deadline, i.e., 26.02.2024, of Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24, (ii) Age according to the specifications in Para-3 of Advertisement No. 19 of 2023-24, and (iii) possess a valid GATE Score as stated in the 3rd Corrigendum in Notice No. 376/PSC, dated 19.01.2024, after the application cutoff date of 26.02.2024, are eligible to apply in response to this Corrigendum.
