Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Department Odisha Recruitment
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements as of January 2, 2026:
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
- Essential Education: * Indian Nationals holding a Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Law from recognized institutions OR a qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Minimum 50% marks in LLB (3 or 5-year), Post Graduation, or CA qualification.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CAs who have completed articleship in taxation.
- Law graduates with experience in taxation research or projects.
- Proficiency in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and strong interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will work closely with the Office of the CsIT(DR) or Sr. DR. Key duties include:
- Analyzing paper books for listed cases and judgments relied upon by assesses.
- Identifying favorable judgments for the Department and preparing briefing notes.
- Conducting research and studies on specific tax litigation areas as assigned by mentors.
- Preparing written submissions for Tribunal hearings.
