About Berhampur University: It was established on January 2, 1967, under the Odisha Act 21 of 1966 as an affiliating university. Initially, it had jurisdiction over seven districts—Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and Malkangiri—with more than 180 affiliated colleges. Lingaraj Law College, located in Berhampur, continues to be the sole constituent college of the University, Following a recent decision by the Government, the University’s territorial jurisdiction has been revised, and colleges in the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and Malkangiri have been transferred to Vikram Dev University, Jeypore (Koraput), effective from the academic session 2023–24. With the merger of Khallikote University, Berhampur University has seen enhanced growth and synergy, leading to the establishment of four new departments: Environmental Studies, Library and Information Science, Biotechnology, and Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management.

The University currently operates with 24 regular Postgraduate Departments. These departments offer a range of postgraduate courses and also conduct Ph.D. and D.Litt. programs. Additionally, the University provides three self-financed postgraduate courses in Pharmacy, Women’s Studies, and Finance. A self-financed B.Ed. program is also available. Berhampur University is distinguished for offering a DBT-sponsored M.Sc. program in Biotechnology, which includes a stipend for enrolled students.

No. of post: 01

Fellowship amount: Rs. 12,000/- per month

Duration: 21 months

  2. Candidates must appear with a completed application form, original degree certificates and mark sheets (along with one set of photocopies), and other relevant documents such as copies of publications, awards, or recommendations, if any.
  3. No travel or other allowances will be provided for attending the interview.
  4. Selected candidates will not be allowed to claim any regular or part-time positions at this institute or any other institution during the engagement period.
  5. Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification of the candidature.
