✅ Eligibility Criteria for NISER Bhubaneswar Recruitment 2025
1. Scientific Assistant-B (Medical Laboratory Technician) – Post Code-01
- Essential Qualifications (Any one of the following):
- BSc with a minimum of 50% marks plus a one-year Diploma in Medical Lab. Tech. (D.M.L.T/M.L.T) with 60% marks. OR
- BSc in Medical Lab Tech. with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Desirable: Preferably 2 years’ experience in a research laboratory or possessing a proficiency certificate or experience of a similar nature.
- Age Limit (as on 17.12.2025):
- Gen-PwBD: Not more than 40 years.
- OBC-PwBD: Not more than 43 years.
- SC-PwBD/ST-PwBD: Not more than 45 years.
2. Scientific Assistant-B (Clinical Psychologist) – Post Code-02
- Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Clinical Psychology with a minimum of 50% marks in the last examination.
- Age Limit (for ST category as on 17.12.2025): Not more than 35 years.
3. Junior Hindi Translator – Post Code-03
- Essential Qualifications (Any one of the following):
- Master’s degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a main subject at the degree level. OR
- Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi and English as main subjects at the degree level. OR
- Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi/English medium and English/Hindi as a main subject at the degree level. OR
- Master’s degree in Hindi or English or in any other subject with Hindi/English medium with English/Hindi as a main subject or a medium of an examination at the degree level. OR
- Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a main subject, plus a recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa OR 2 years’ experience of translational work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices (including Government of India undertakings).
- Age Limit (for UR category as on 17.12.2025): Not more than 28 years.
Selection Procedure for NISER Bhubaneswar Recruitment
Scientific Assistant-B Posts (Post Code-01 & 02)
The selection will be a three-stage process with specific weightage for each stage:
- Stage I: Trade Test (Qualifying in Nature)
- Cut-off: 30% marks.
- Stage II: Written Test (60% weightage)
- Cut-off: 30% marks.
- Stage III: Personal Interview (40% weightage)
- Note: There is no cut-off for Stage III.
Junior Hindi Translator Post (Post Code-03)
The selection consists of two Written Test stages, with a 30% cut-off in each stage.
- Stage I: Written Test (50% weightage)
- Objective type questions (MCQ) covering:
- General Hindi
- General English
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude

- Stage II: Written Test (50% weightage)
- Descriptive written test consisting of:
- Translation (Hindi to English and English to Hindi)

- Mode: Only ONLINE applications will be accepted.

- Application Fee: ₹500/- (Rupees five hundred only) payable ONLINE.
- Exemptions: Application fee is exempted for SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-serviceman candidates.
- Multiple Posts: If applying for multiple posts, you must pay the application fee separately for each post.
