Essential and Desirable Qualification
Professor (Post Code: 1001)
- An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- A total research score of 120 as per Appendix-II, Table-2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
- A minimum of ten years of teaching experience or research experience at equivalent level with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
- DQ: UG or PG degree in Education for candidates with PG degree/diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Science & Engineering etc.
Associate Professor (Post Codes: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006)
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research.
- Minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- A total research score of Seventy five (75) as per Appendix-II, Table-2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
Associate Professor (Post Code: 2005 – Management/ Public Administration)
- Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- At least total 7 research publications in SCI journals/Scopus Indexed/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
Assistant Professor (Post Codes: 3002, 3003)
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET), or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
- Exemption from NET/SLET/SET is granted to candidates:
- Awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
- Obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking.
Assistant Professor (Post Code: 3001 – Commerce/ Management/Public Administration)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business Administration/PGDM/C.A./ICWA/M. Com. with First Class or equivalent.
- Two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s degree.
- DQ: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Al and MOOCs.
Application Fee for IUCTE Banaras Hindu University Recruitment
- Rs.1000/- (non-refundable) is charged from the candidates of UR, EWS and OBC categories.
- No application fee is charged from the candidates of SC, ST, PwBDs categories and Women & Transgender Candidates.
- The fee must be paid through the payment Gateway by online Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI etc.
Application Procedure for IUCTE Banaras Hindu University Recruitment
- Online Mode is Essential: Online mode of submission of applications shall be essential. Candidates must first register on the Recruitment portal on the IUCTE, BHU website (https://www.iucte.ac.in).
- Form Filling and Submission: Applicants will log in to fill up the prescribed online application form. Separate applications shall be submitted for different positions. Ensure all mandatory fields and research contributions are entered, and digital copies of publications are uploaded.
- Payment and Download: After successful online submission, pay the application fee and download a PDF of the application.
- Hard Copy Submission is Mandatory: The downloaded PDF must be printed, duly signed, and, if employed, forwarded by your employer. Send this signed hard copy, along with self-attested copies of certificates (from matriculation onwards), mark-sheets, reprints of publications, and research score certificates, by SPEEDPOST only.

Selection Procedure for IUCTE Banaras Hindu University Recruitment
- Short-listing Criteria:
- For Assistant Professors: Short-listing is based on the Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) of the UGC Regulations, 2018/AICTE Regulations, 2019.
- For Associate Professors and Professors: Short-listing is based on the Academic and Research score as prescribed under Appendix-II (Table 2) as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
- Academic/Research Score will be used only to shortlist the applications.
- More stringent criteria may be applied for short-listing; applicants with higher qualification and merit will be given preference.
- Final Selection:
- Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the presentation and interaction-cum-interview.
