Recruitment of Junior Executives through GATE 2023/2024/2025
1. Introduction
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Government of India Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Executive (Group B, E-1 level).
Recruitment will be carried out on the basis of candidates’ GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025 scores in the relevant engineering discipline.

3. Pay Scale & Compensation
- Pay Band: ₹40,000 – 1,40,000 (E-1 grade)
- Approximate CTC: ~₹13 lakh per annum, including:
- Basic pay, DA, and perks @ 35% of basic
- HRA or leased accommodation
- Medical benefits, CPF, gratuity, leave encashment
- Probation: Selected candidates will serve one year probation, extendable if performance is not satisfactory.
4. Eligibility Criteria
(A) Educational Qualification
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (B.Arch / B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 60% marks.
- Only candidates who have already completed their degree by the closing date are eligible. Final-year students are not eligible.
(B) Age Limit (as on closing date)
- Maximum: 27 years
- Relaxations:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD (General): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
Upper age limit relaxations also apply for ex-servicemen as per Govt. norms.
5. Selection Procedure for Recruitment at Airports Authority of India
- Shortlisting will be done based on GATE normalized scores (2023, 2024, or 2025) in the respective papers:
- CE (Civil)
- EE (Electrical)
- EC (Electronics)
- CS (Computer Science & IT)
- AR (Architecture)
- No written exam or interview will be held.
- Final appointment will be subject to:
- Document verification
- Background check
- Medical fitness as per AAI standards
6. Application Procedure for Recruitment at Airports Authority of India
- Mode: Online only, through AAI’s official website → www.aai.aero → Careers → Recruitment.
- Steps:
- Register with valid details.
- Enter GATE Registration No. and Score.
- Upload scanned documents (photo, signature, degree certificate, category/PwBD/EWS certificate, GATE scorecard).
- Pay application fee (if applicable).
- Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹300 + charges
- SC/ST/PwBD/Female: Exempted
Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
7. Service Conditions
- Posting can be at any AAI office, airport, or project site across India.
- Selected candidates may be required to execute a service bond/undertaking if training is provided.
- They must undergo medical fitness examination before joining.
8. General Instructions
- A candidate can apply for only one discipline. If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest one will be considered.
- All eligibility criteria must be met as of the closing date of application.
- OBC candidates claiming NCL status must hold a valid NCL certificate issued on or after the cut-off date.
- Reservation benefits will apply only on submission of valid certificates in prescribed format.
