Qualification

1. Associate Professor (Law)

i. A Ph.D. degree in the relevant, related, or concerned fields and a strong academic record.
ii. A Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% of marks (or, if the grading system is used, an equal grade on a point scale).
iii. A minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, a total research score of seventy-five (75), and at least eight years of experience teaching and/or conducting research in an academic or research role equivalent to that of an assistant professor in a university, college, or accredited research institution/industry.

2. Assistant Professor of Law/ English/ Sociology

i. A Master’s degree from an Indian institution in a relevant, related field with 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point system, wherever the grading system is used) or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
ii. In addition to meeting the requirements listed above, the candidate must have passed the UGC or CSIR national eligibility test (NET), or a test that is comparable and approved by the UGC, such as SLET/SET, or who is or has been granted a Ph.D. degree in line with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempt from NET/SLET/SET.

Important information for candidates

  1. A completed application form and a demand draft for Rs. 1,000 made payable to the Registrar of National Law University, Odisha, payable at Cuttack, should be delivered to the Registrar of National Law University, Odisha.
  2. Only those who have been shortlisted will be contacted for interviews.
  3. Only through the appropriate method may those in service apply.
  4. Attending the interview will not result in any TA or DA.
  5. Original documentation must be presented by candidates when they attend for the interview.

Recruitment at National Law University Odisha 2025: On July 10, 2025, National Law University Odisha (NLUO) published a notice for the hiring of field investigators, research assistants, and research associates for ICSSR-funded projects. Applications are being accepted from worthy and driven individuals who will take part in full-time fieldwork and desk work as part of an ICSSR-Funded Research Project titled “Childcare Institutions and Wellbeing of Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP): An Empirical Study in Odisha” at National Law University Odisha (NLUO), which is overseen by Principal Investigator Prof. (Dr.) Ved Kumari, Vice-Chancellor & Patron-in-Chief, Centre for Child Rights, National Law University Odisha.

Duration: 3 Months

Qualification: A Ph.D., M.Phil., or NET degree with at least 55% in a social science postgraduate program.

Experience: Two years or more of expertise gathering, analyzing, and conducting academic research.

Remuneration: 47,000/- per month + TA/DA

Remuneration

Qualification
