NFSU Contractual Faculty Recruitment 2026: National Forensic Sciences University invites eligible and highly motivated candidates to attend recruitment exercise for various academic positions on a contractual basis at the NFSU Gandhinagar Campus. Eligibility Criteria (पात्रता मानदंड)

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (CONTRACTUAL)

The post is for Assistant Professor. However, if no suitable candidate is found, the University may appoint at Assistant Professor (Lower Remuneration) or at Lecturer, as shown below:

1. Assistant Professor

1. Ph.D. completed in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with minimum 2 papers published in journals of repute, e.g. Scopus, Web of Science, ABDC or UGC-CARE indexed journals.
2. Ph.D. degree must be available at the time of interview; a provisional Ph.D. degree/certificate is acceptable if the original degree has not yet been issued.
3. Minimum 60% or equivalent in the preceding Master degree.
4. Good academic record throughout.

2. Assistant Professor (Lower Remuneration)

1. Ph.D. completed in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline or Master’s Degree completed (Minimum 60% or equivalent) with UGC NET qualified in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
2. Master’s Degree must be available at the time of interview; a provisional degree is acceptable if the original degree has not yet been issued.
3. No pending ATKT/backlog in the qualifying degree.
4. Master’s Degree in the concerned/relevant subject applicable to the School.
5. Good academic record throughout.

3. Lecturer

1. Master’s Degree completed in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
2. Minimum 60% or equivalent at Master’s level.
3. Master’s Degree must be available at the time of interview; a provisional degree is acceptable if the original degree has not yet been issued.
4. No pending ATKT/backlog in the qualifying degree.
5. Master’s Degree in the concerned/relevant subject applicable to the School.
6. Good academic record throughout.(If the candidate has not qualified UGC NET (AP) or UGC does not conduct NET for Assistant Professor in the particular subject/domain).

Not Eligible

1. Master’s Degree is incomplete/ Result Not Declared.
2. Any of the required degrees or acceptable provisional degree/certificate is not available at the time of interview.
3. The subject/discipline applied for does not satisfactorily fall within the concerned/allied/relevant subject or domain of the School.

DETAILED ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

School of Behavioural Forensics (SBF)

• Criminology:
  • Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Forensic Behavioural Science/ Criminology or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with good academic record throughout.
  • Desirable: Candidate having Teaching or Research experience in the field of Criminology.
• Forensic Psychology:
  • Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Forensic Psychology/ Psychology/ Behavioural Science or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with good academic record throughout.
  • Desirable: Candidate having Teaching or Research experience in the field of Forensic Psychology.
• Clinical Psychology:
  • Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology/ Neuropsychology, Behavioural Science or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with good academic record throughout.
  • *For faculty in Clinical Psychology, the Registration as Clinical Psychologist under RCI Act is mandatory.
  • Desirable: Candidate having Teaching or Research experience in the field of Clinical Psychologist (RCI registration is mandatory).
• Neuropsychology:
  • Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Psychology/Neuropsychology or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with good academic record throughout.
  • Desirable: Candidate having Teaching or Research experience in the field of Neuropsychology.

Salary Details (वेतनविवरण)

• Assistant Professor: ₹90,000/- per month
• Assistant Professor (Lower Remuneration): ₹75,000/- per month
• Lecturer: ₹68,000/- per month
