IIT Indore Recruitment 2026: IIT Indore invites applications from high-caliber, enthusiastic, and research-oriented candidates for the position of Research Associate (RA) (02 in No.) and Technical Assistant (01 in No.) in a research project entitled “High-value Concrete Visor by EAF slag Recycling (COVER) for strategic applications” sponsored by the Steel Research & Technology Mission of India (SRTMI). About the project: The project aims to propose high-value utilisation of steel slag as raw materials for strategic construction applications by exploiting physical and other material characteristics. The proposed study will also develop a dynamic utilisation framework to account for variation in chemical and mineral composition, and make the idea more industry-ready. The dynamic framework will encompass characterisation-based fast assessment, machine learning for process optimisation, decarbonising for preconditioning, and a multi-objective utilisation outline.

Eligibility Criteria (पात्रता मानदंड)
1. Research Associate (RA)
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Civil/Mechanical/Metallurgical/ Materials/ Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, or having 3 years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech/MS in Civil/Mechanical/Metallurgical/ Materials/ Chemical Engineering/Chemistry with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Desirable: The candidate should possess good knowledge of slag recycling or concrete technology and experience in the steel industry. NET/GATE qualification in the relevant area.
2. Technical Assistant (TA)
- Essential Qualification: First Class B.Sc./3 Years Diploma in Engineering & Technology
- Desirable: Experience in CFTI/research labs/ industry.
Salary Details (वेतन विवरण)
- Research Associate (RA): Consolidated Rs. 58,000/- per month and HRA as per the funding agency.
- Technical Assistant (TA): Consolidated Rs. 20,000/- per month and HRA as per the funding agency.

महत्वपूर्ण दिशा-निर्देश (Important instructions)
- Duration: The initial appointment is for one year, extendable based on performance up to the project duration.
- Selected candidates for Research Associate positions having only a Master’s degree may be considered for admission to a Ph.D. Program as a regular full-time scholar at IIT Indore as per the Institute norms.
