Eligibility Criteria for KAGCTA Goa Recruitment
Mandatory General Requirements
To be eligible for any of these roles, candidates must fulfill the following regional criteria:
- Goa Residence: A valid certificate proving 15 years of residence in Goa is required for the KAGCTA Goa Recruitment.
- Language Skills: Knowledge of Konkani is essential, while knowledge of Marathi is highly desirable.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
A. Theatre Discipline (Posts 01 & 02)
Candidates can qualify through either Academic (Route A) or Professional Artist (Route B) tracks:
- Route A (Academic): A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject, alongside clearing the NET/SET exam. (Ph.D. holders fulfilling specific pre-2009 regular-mode criteria are exempted from NET/SET).
- Route B (Professional): A 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or PG Diploma with at least 55% marks from the National School of Drama (NSD) or a similar recognized institution. Candidates must also show proof of 5 years of acclaimed regular performances at regional, national, or international levels.
B. Music Vocal (Post 03)
- Route A (Academic): Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Music and a valid NET/SET qualification or a Ph.D..
- Route B (Professional Artist): A Bachelor’s degree coupled with training under a reputed traditional Master/Artist. The applicant must be an ‘A’ grade artist of AIR (All India Radio) or Doordarshan and possess the ability to teach theory through illustrations.
C. Academic Subjects: Environmental Studies, English, Konkani, Hindi, & Marathi (Posts 04 to 08)
- A Master’s degree in the respective subject with at least 55% marks.
- Clearance of NET/SET or a Ph.D. degree compliant with UGC regulations. (Ph.D. holders from National Institutes of Importance or foreign universities ranked in the Top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU are also eligible).
- Having publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals is a preferred plus.
D. College Counsellor (Post 09)
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology or Human Development from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 55% marks.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of working experience as a counsellor.
- Desirable: Specialization in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
