Eligibility Criteria & Job Descriptions
1. Project Scientific Officer (B)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Physics with 60% marks OR a BE/B.Tech degree in any engineering branch with 60% marks.
- Experience: One year in R&D, grant management, or resource planning.
- Role: Support science activities in the Control Instrumentation Group, participate in balloon flights, and handle communication systems and electronics.
- Selection Mode: Personal Interview.
2. Project Scientific Assistant (B)
- Essential Qualification: Full-time Diploma in Electronics, ECE, E&I, or Industrial Electronics (60%) OR a B.Sc. in Electronics (60%).
- Experience: 0-2 years in the related field with knowledge of PCB designing and microcontrollers.
- Role: Assist the instrumentation group with technical activities and participate in balloon flights.
- Selection Mode: Written test and/or Personal Interview.
3. Project Laboratory Assistant (B) [Electronics/Electrical]
- Essential Qualification: ITI (NTC) in Electronics/Electrician trade with 60% marks and 2 years of experience OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with 60% marks and 1 year of experience.
- Role: Responsible for electronic work within the Control Instrumentation Group and other labs.
- Selection Mode: Written test and Trade Test.
4. Project Tradesman (B) [Mechanical]
- Essential Qualification: ITI (NTC) in Mechanical trade with 60% marks and 2 years of experience OR NAC with 60% marks and 1 year of experience.
- Role: Work in the workshop, balloon production lab, and participate in flight-related activities.
- Selection Mode: Written test and Trade Test.
Important General Information
- Location: The posts are based in Hyderabad, but candidates may need to travel across India for outreach activities.
- Tenure: These are temporary project positions, renewable annually for up to three years based on performance.
- Work Schedule: Selected candidates must be willing to work on weekends, holidays, and in round-the-clock shifts as required.
- Travel Reimbursement: Outstation candidates for Sr. No. 1 and 2 will be paid second-class return train fare for the interview.
