Eligibility Criteria
1. Office Assistant
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (excluding Fine/Performing Arts), Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Applications with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Experience: Minimum two years of post-qualification experience in office work, data entry, and record maintenance.
- Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years as of 20 April 2026 (born on or after 21 April 1996).
2. Admin Assistant
- Educational Qualification: Pass in PUC / ITI NTC in the trade of Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, or Electronic Mechanic.
- Experience: Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in office administrative work or file maintenance.
- Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years as of 20 April 2026 (born on or after 21 April 1986).
Note: Age relaxations apply for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.
Selection Process for Recruitment at Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited
The selection will be based on a two-phase competitive examination:
- Phase I: Objective Type Test (70 Marks)
- Covers General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General English, and Discipline-related topics .
- Duration: 90 minutes; No negative marking.
- Phase II: Descriptive Type Test (30 Marks)
- Tests writing skills in Kannada, Hindi, or English .
- Duration: 45 minutes.
Domicile Requirement: Only candidates who are domiciles of Karnataka will be considered for shortlisting.
