Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Age Limit: Between 21 to 35 years as of the last date of application submission.
- Educational Qualification: * Graduate in Law (including Integrated Degree Courses) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- The degree must be from a recognized University/Institute and approved by the Bar Council of India.
- Candidates must have passed all examinations within the normal duration of the course.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of computer operations and common software like MS Office.
- Research Skills: Ability to retrieve information from legal search engines such as eSCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, and CaseMine.
- Experience (Desirable): Three years of judicial or legal work experience in the Supreme Court, High Courts, or various Tribunals/Courts is preferred.
Salary and Contract Terms
- Remuneration: A consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 65,000/-. No other allowances or perks are provided.
- Duration: Initially for one year, extendable year-by-year up to a total of three years based on performance and approval.
- Restrictions: While engaged as an LRA, candidates cannot practice as an Advocate or take up any other full-time or part-time employment.
Job Responsibilities
Law Research Associates will assist the Presiding Officer and Members of the Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports in several ways:
- Reading case files and preparing case summaries, notes, and chronologies.
- Conducting legal research on facts and law for pending cases using printed and electronic resources.
- Assisting in the preparation, correction, and editing of judgments.
- Attending court proceedings and taking notes on counsel arguments.
- Verifying citations in final orders and maintaining organized case files.
Selection Process for Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports Recruitment
