Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Ph.D. Requirement: A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science or related fields (Information Science, Archives, Computerization of Library, etc.).
- Experience: At least eight years of experience as an Assistant University Librarian or College Librarian at Academic Pay Level-10 or above.
- Research Score: A total research score of at least 75 based on the criteria in the University’s guidelines.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali and English is essential for managing multilingual resources.
- Technical Skills: Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT.
Note on Relaxations: A 5% relaxation in marks (at Graduate and Master’s level) is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and Differently-abled candidates.
