Eligibility Criteria
1. Scientist Grade-II
- Medical: MBBS with a PG degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related fields, plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Non-Medical: Master’s degree (min 60%) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related sciences with 7 years of experience, OR a Ph.D. in a relevant field with 3 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
2. Scientist Grade-III (Veterinarian)
- Qualification: M.V.Sc degree in Veterinary Medicine, Public Health, Microbiology, Pathology, or Epidemiology.
- Experience: 2 years in veterinary practice and laboratory work.
3. Junior Scientist
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related subjects.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in quality control testing, technical dossier review, or research in biologicals.
4. Laboratory Technician
- Qualification: B.Sc. in Biology (with Zoology & Chemistry), Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry plus a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), OR a B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Experience: 1 year of practical experience in a medical lab or research institution.
5. Administrative Assistant & Assistant-II
- Administrative Assistant: Graduate (min 50%) in Arts/Commerce/Science with 5 years of experience in Admin/Stores/Accounts.
- Assistant-II: 12th Class pass (min 50%) and a typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi.
Selection Process for National Institute of Biologicals Recruitment
The selection methods vary by position:
- Scientific Posts (Gr. II & III): Computer Based Test (CBT) (40%), Credentials/Experience (30%), and Personal Discussion (30%).
- Junior Scientist & Lab Technician: Selection based on CBT merit.
- Administrative & Assistant Posts: CBT followed by a Skill Test (1:5 ratio).
- Junior Hindi Translator: Two papers; Paper-I (Objective) and Paper-II (Descriptive/Translation). Final merit is based on Paper-II marks.
